For hotels
KidTrip ranks family hotels by a transparent Kid-Friendliness Score. If something on your listing is wrong or out of date, tell us here and we'll fix it โ free, and without a sales call.
How we research a hotel
1We shortlist
For each launch city we build a list of resorts and hotels that plausibly work for families โ brands with real children's programmes plus the highest family-rated independents, spread across price points.
2We publish what your website says โ clearly labelled
Your published pages give us pools, rooms, dining and your kids' club description. Until someone at the property confirms the childcare details, the listing is labelled 'from hotel website โ unconfirmed' and its childcare score is capped at 60 out of 100.
3We email you five questions
Ages, hours, supervision and check-in, cost and booking window, and above all whether parents may leave. One written reply lifts the cap, adds a 'hotel confirmed' badge and stamps the listing with the date.
4We re-check yearly
Programmes get cut, ages change, seasonal clubs close. Anything older than a year is re-verified or the score drops.
Rules that keep the score honest
- Adults-only pools and spas never count towards children's water facilities.
- An unstaffed playroom is never counted as childcare, however nice it is.
- Babysitting referral lists are recorded, but score far below on-site staffed care.
- Nothing a hotel pays for โ including booking commission โ can change a score.
- A claim we read on a website is never shown as verified until you confirm it.
The full weighting is public on our how we score page.
